Titles from HBO Latin America, VIS Americas, Globo and Fox Networks Group Latam made their way into this year’s list of nominees for the International Emmy Awards.
The International Academy of TV Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 2019 International Emmy Awards, which will take place on November 25 at the Hilton Hotel in NY.
In total, there are 44 nominations divided among 11 categories and 21 countries.
Nominees come from: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Israel, the Netherlands, Portugal, Qatar, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom & the United States.
Stand out titles are Especial de Natal de Porta dos Fundos (Viacom International Studios), nominated for Best Comedy; FOX’s 1 Contra todos, nominated for Best Drama; or Se Eu Fechar Os Olhos Agora, by Globo, nominated for Best TV Movie or Miniseries.
Telemundo also scored two nominations in the Non-English Language US Prime Time Program category with Al otro lado del muro and The Inmate, competing against Magnifica 70 by HBO Latin America, and Falco, by Spiral Entertainment.
Lastly, Telefe’s 100 días para enamorarse (Viacom International Studios) is competing for Best Telenovela against The Queen of Flow by Caracol, while many Latin American actors are competing in the individual categories.
