The Turkish distributor announced the sale of its successful dramas in Spain, without revealing the buyer.
Inter Medya has closed a deal for the Turkish series The Ambassador’s Daughter, produced by O3 and NGMedia, and Bitter Lands, produced by TIMS&B Productions, to Spain.
The Ambassador’s Daughter tells the powerful love story about Sancar and Nare. Always longing for one another, they only saw each other two days a year but there were never two minutes they did not think of each other. Fighting for their love, they resisted dragons, talked against pharaohs, and swung their swords against heathens.
Meanwhile, the phenomenal Turkish Drama Bitter Lands became both a local and an international hit, continuing its success with steady steps. Bitter Lands is a period drama with a legendary love at its core. The series begins in Istanbul during the 1970s and continues in the fertile lands of Cukurova. It’s a Project with a rich ensemble cast and profound storylines that are appealing for the audience.
Beatriz Cea Okan, VP, and Head of Sales and Acquisitions said: “On top of winning over the Turkish audience, The Ambassador’s Daughter and Bitter Lands received acclaim in other countries likewise. Turkish Drama is becoming increasingly popular worldwide especially in Spain.”
“With several Turkish dramas on air in Spain, we don’t see this trend diminishing anytime soon. We are excited to close these deals for a great love story starring acclaimed actors.”
