HBO released the first trailer for its comedy series Hard, the new Brazilian production starring Natália Lage, which will premiere on May 17 on HBO and HBO GO.
Under the general direction of Rodrigo Meirelles and made in co-production with Gullane, the series is an adaptation of the homonymous French comedy.
Hard tells the story of Sofia, a dedicated housewife who has just been widowed. Elegant and demure, she gave up her career as a lawyer to take care of her family. After her husband’s sudden death, Sofia watches her perfect life fall apart when she discovers that he lied throughout his life about his profession and that the inheritance he leaves behind comes in the form of a porn movie producer. Now she must adjust to her new life.
The series is produced by Roberto Rios, William Benshimol, Eduardo Zaca and Rafaella Giannini, by HBO Latin America Originals, and Fabiano Gullane and Caio Gullane, by Gullane, with resources from Condecine – Article 39.
The general director of Hard is Rodrigo Meirelles and the direction of the episodes is done by Julia Jordão, Diego Martins and Luiza Campos. The artistic development supervision was carried out by Daniel Rezende and the scripts are by Danilo Gullane, Juliana Rosenthal, Patricia Leme, Mariana Zatz and Laura Villar.
