The executive, who served as General Director of Venevisión Channel 4 in Venezuela, is launching The Grossmann Factor, an independent project on YouTube.

Journalist Gustavo Grossmann announced during Content Americas that he is stepping down from his role as General Director of Venevisión Channel 4 in Venezuela, a position he will leave at the end of the month, to focus on The Grossmann Factor, an independent YouTube project, as well as on advisory services.
In addition to his experience at Venevisión, the executive has a solid track record at major companies such as HBO and WBD. “This is an experiment, so to speak, and I hope it works out well. First, I need to fully step away, which will be at the end of this month,” Grossmann said.
Grossmann explained that his project will be focused on promoting values and the positive side of life. “These days, we’re flooded with fake news and other news that’s very biased. I’d like to move toward the center, to comment, to share opinions, to pass on values. There’s too much bad news, and what I want is to focus a bit on that—on sharing and promoting what’s good,” he said.
The executive also highlighted how fast-moving and disruptive the industry has become. “But in the end, what really matters is content. Good content travels, it resonates, it lasts, and that’s what I want to dedicate myself to—identifying good content, helping develop new content, creating my own content in terms of news and editorials that I can produce, and spotting production and co-production opportunities,” he added.
Regarding his consulting business, he noted, “My experience gives me a certain credibility to be able to share what I’ve learned and help others avoid the mistakes one makes along the way.”
Reflecting on his time at Venevisión, Grossmann said it brought him many rewarding moments. “I reconnected with the company where I started my professional career. We did good things in a difficult environment, of course, and even though in theory things in Venezuela may look more promising in the future, I believe this is an important step—being able to channel my experience into consulting and advisory work, as well as into creating opinion-driven, conservative news content that sets out to mark or at least point toward some new paths for the future,” Grossmann concluded.
