The deals include the Turkish premium daily licensed to Happy Channel, Antena TV Group, Romania, TV2 Media Group, Hungary, and Thanthi One in India.

GoQuest Media has licensed its first co-production, the Turkish series Kuma (The Other Wife), in multiple territories.

The deals include the Turkish premium daily licensed to Happy Channel, Antena TV Group, Romania, TV2 Media Group, Hungary, and Thanthi One in India.

Produced by Stellar Yapim, with showrunner Inci Gulen Oarr, known for Elif, Canim Annem, and Wounded Birds, the series has secured international sales without first premiering on Turkish television.

Kuma (The Other Wife) is the story of Ceylan who runs away from home and meets Karan, a wealthy young businessman. They fall in love and soon are set to be married. But when Ceylan is framed for murder, Karan marries his brother’s widow instead and forces Ceylan to become his kuma, a second wife to bear his children.

Vivek Lath, Managing Director, GoQuest Media, commented on the deal, “Kuma is our first production developed under the make-to-sell model. Securing early deals while the series is still in post-production and before it has even aired on Turkish television demonstrates that Kuma has hit the mark with what international buyers are looking for in their Turkish programming, underscoring our confidence in its international appeal. Additionally, we have major deals in the contracting stage and will be ready to make another announcement regarding the series in January.”

GoQuest Media will showcase Kuma (The Other Wife) at Mipcom (stand P-1.J7) next week.
