The Brazilian drama will premiere in January.

Continuing a successful partnership that began this year with Pantanal, Globo will take Land of Desire to Paraguay in an agreement with broadcast TV Telefuturo. The production is scheduled to premiere in January.

Launched for the international market during MIPCOM and one of Globo’s highlights for Content Americas next January, Land of Desire is written by Walcyr Carrasco, who won an Emmy for Hidden Truths. The production tells the story of Aline (Barbara Reis from All The Flowers), a young woman who sees her family wiped out due to a crime. Driven by the desire for reparation, her story intersects with the family of Antônio La Selva (Tony Ramos, from India: A Love Story), divided by ambition and many secrets.

“Land of Desire premiering on Telefuturo in January is a reflection of how successful our partnership is and that makes us very happy. Latin America is a region where we are recognized for the quality of our telenovelas, so it is always important that we bring our releases to this audience”, says Isadora Filpi, Content Distribution and Partnerships.

The agreement also provides for the screening of Boogie Oogie, a telenovela by Rui Vilhena and featuring Ísis Valverde (Edge of Desire) and Bianca Bin (The Other Side of Paradise) in the cast; and Crashing Into The Future, by Mário Teixeira featuring Nicolas Prattes (All The Flowers) and Juliana Paiva (Total Dreamer), as well as other titles yet to be announced.
