All the Flowers, The Others and Under Pressure are some of the company’s highlights at the event
To reinforce its strategy of expanding participation in the Asian continent, Globo arrives with its Globoplay Originals series and telenovelas at the Content Asia Summit, an event that takes places between the 21st and 24th of August and brings together the main audiovisual brands in the region.
“We want to increase our presence in Asia with strategic partnerships on the continent. We recently announced the premiere of God Save the King in Japan and this reinforces that we have content that connects with every type of audience. Our portfolio has products for everybody, in addition to formats that can travel around the world and reach Asia through local adaptations. It is important to show this diversity of titles to the Asian market and reach these viewers”, comments Fabio Mauro, Content Distribution & Partnerships at Globo.
In addition to telenovelas already recognized by the international market, the company also bases its strategy on streaming as it’s first window with productions like the Globoplay Originals The Others, the most popular series ever published on Globoplay in Brazil considering the first 60 days of publication (source: Google Analytics).
Starring Adriana Esteves (Brazil Avenue), Milhem Cortaz (A Mother’s Love and Iron Island), Maeve Jinkings (Land of the Strong) and Thomás Aquino, the attraction brings universal discussions about intolerance and the difficulty of dialogue in current society. The Others was created by Lucas Paraízo, author of Under Pressure, a series that has already been licensed to more than 60 countries.
Other Globo highlights for the Content Asia Summit are the series Under Pressure, We Are Five and Route 66: The Killer Unit, in addition to the soap opera All The Flowers, created and written by João Emanuel Carneiro (Brazil Avenue).
