The company presents telenovelas, original series, and formats in a showcase on November 20.

Globo will take part in MIP Cancun 2025, an event that brings together the main players in the Latin American audiovisual industry, showcasing a diverse portfolio that reflects the strength and variety of its productions.

Featuring acclaimed telenovelas, new releases, original series, and formats, the company reinforces its presence in the international market and highlights the appeal of its storytelling for Latin American audiences.

As part of the event’s program, Globo will host a showcase on November 20, at 8 a.m., presenting to the market its investment in producing classic melodramas and unveiling major new titles and highlights from its extensive catalog.

Among them is the telenovela Anything Goes, recently broadcast in Globo’s prime-time slot. The production is part of the network’s 60th anniversary celebrations and revisits one of the greatest classics in Brazilian television history, originally aired in 1988. Adapted by Manuela Dias (A Mother’s Love, Justice) and directed by Paulo Silvestrini (Never Give Up), the story explores themes such as ethics, character, and family relationships. Vale Tudo reached over 150 million Brazilians, became the highest-grossing primetime telenovela in the network’s history, and was the most-watched telenovela ever on Globoplay, Globo Group’s streaming service. The finale literally stopped Brazil, as viewers tuned in to discover the answer to one of the biggest mysteries in television: who killed the villain Odete Roitman (Debora Bloch).

Among the Globoplay Originals featured in Globo’s MIP Cancun portfolio are the series Perfect Days Blood Red – Under The Moonlight, and Reincarnate. Perfect Days, adapted by Claudia Jouvin and directed by Joana Jabace, is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Raphael Montes. It follows Téo (Jaffar Bambirra, from Crazy About You), a medical student who becomes obsessed with Clarice (Julia Dalavia, from Pantanal). After being rejected by her, he decides to kidnap her, convinced that, with time, she will come to love him. While keeping Clarice hidden from the world, Téo takes her on a chilling journey through the beautiful landscapes of Rio de Janeiro.

In Blood Red – Under The Moonlight, fantastic creatures and intense emotions drive the plot. Luna (Leticia Vieira, from Anything Goes) bears the burden of transforming into a maned wolf at every full moon, while Flora (Alanis Guillen, from Pantanal) is seen as strange by the youth in her town for her yearning to be and live the extraordinary. For Luna, transformation is a curse; for Flora, the absence of it is a frustration. The series was created and written by Claudia Sardinha and Rosane Svartman (‘Never Give Up’), with artistic direction by Patricia Pedrosa.

A highlight at this year’s Berlinale, Reincarnate is set in the Brazilian countryside and raises profound questions: What defines us — the body or the soul? If the mind could inhabit another body, would we still be ourselves? The production takes the audience on a journey between the physical and spiritual worlds, exploring the boundaries between life and death, good and evil, desire and redemption. The series was created by Amanda Jordão, Elisio Lopes Jr, Flávia Lacerda, Juan Jullian, and Igor Verde, with artistic direction by Bruno Safadi.

Globo will also present at MIP Cancun the telenovelas Queen of Myself, currently airing in Brazil, and She’s The One, winner of the Produ Awards for Best Romantic Telenovela. In addition, Globo will showcase scripted formats from successful dramas such as Hidden Truths, Total Dreamer, and Family Ties, as well as unscripted formats from variety shows like Family Size and The Timeline.

“Latin America is a strategic region for Globo. We have a genuine connection with this audience, which has historically identified with our stories, characters, and themes. Participating in MIP Cancun is a valuable opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships and open new conversations in the market, reinforcing our commitment to delivering high-quality and relevant content beyond Brazil’s borders,” says Pablo Ghiglione, Head of Sales Americas and APAC & Worldwide Coproductions.
