With over 40 years of partnership, Globo and Teledoce renewed the partnership to take the Brazilian companys main releases to Uruguay.
The Uruguayan channel has already shown telenovelas such as Pantanal, Hidden Truths and Never Give Up and with the renewal, new premieres are planned. Currently, the productions Crossed Paths and Land of Desire are being shown in Uruguay.
Crossed Paths, tells the story of seven friends played by Isabel Teixeira (Pantanal), Thalita Carauta (All The Flowers), Deborah Secco (A Second Chance), Karine Teles (Pantanal), Mariana Santos (The Big Catch), Maria Clara Spinelli (Edge of Desire) and Késia. Written by Thereza Falcão and Alessandro Marson and with artistic direction by Amora Mautner, the production is a reinterpretation of the telenovela of the same name created in the 1980s by Cassiano Gabus Mendes.
Land of Desire, shown in prime time on TV Globo in Brazil, is written by Walcyr Carrasco (Emmy winner for Hidden Truths) with artistic direction by Luiz Henrique Rios (Total Dreamer). In the plot, Aline (Barbara Reis from All The Flowers) is a young woman who sees her family wiped out by a crime. Driven by the desire for reparation, her story intersects with the family of Antônio La Selva (Tony Ramos, from India: A Love Story), divided by ambition and many secrets.
“Teledoce is one of our oldest partners, and we have established a lasting relationship of great trust. This renewal shows that they remain confident in our productions and that the Uruguayan public is interested and identifies with our stories, such as Land of Desire and Crossed Paths, which are currently on air. We are very happy and hope that this partnership will continue, with more releases for the Uruguayan public”, comments Regiane Marcilio, Content Distribution & Partnerships at Globo.
