All telenovelas released by Globo on the international market in the next three years will be available to the Israeli public.
With a partnership of more than 23 years, Globo and Dori TLV have further strengthened their bond by signing a long-term agreement to bring Globo’s releases to Israel. All telenovelas released on the international market in the next three years will be available to the Israeli public. In total, there will be over 800 hours of content shown on all Viva-branded channels. Among the highlights is the telenovela Crazy About You, by João Emanuel Carneiro (Brazil Avenue), which is currently being shown during prime time on TV Globo.
“This negotiation reinforces the partnership with Dori TLV, which began in 2003 with the exhibition of The Clone. The Middle East is a strategic region for Globo and our long relationship with Dori TLV shows that the audience of that territory has a great interest in our products and our stories. We are very happy with this agreement and hope to continue taking our new releases to Israel,” says Fabio Mauro, Content Distribution & Partnerships.
With artistic direction by Carlos Araújo, bringing back the successful partnership with João Emanuel Carneiro from All The Flowers, Crazy About You starts with the friendship between two young women, Viola (Gabz from Perfect Love) and Luma (Agatha Moreira, from Hidden Truths), who seem destined to literally enter each others lives. The immediate, strong, and genuine connection between them shows that what unites them goes beyond their birthday, and it will even be capable of separating them, to the point where one ends up living the dream – or the nightmare – of the other.
In addition to new telenovelas, the partnership also includes reruns of Globo’s stories. Currently, Brazil Avenue and Terra Nostra are being aired again in Israel. Among the latest productions aired on Dori TLV channels are All The Flowers, Never Give Up, Pantanal, and Land of Desire.
