The French adaptation of Global Agency’s original format, Is that Really Your Voice?, made its debut on France’s TF1 and was watched by over 3.2 million viewers.
The launch of the new singing entertainment show Good Singers, which is based on Global Agency’s original format Is That Really Your Voice?, got great ratings with broad leadership across all targets on France’s TF1 on Friday, 17th July.
The premiere was followed by 3.2 million viewers. That figure represents a 40% leap from the level of 2.3 million viewers for the same slot on the channel a week earlier. Good Singers has achieved great success in all key demos: 18.2% share (4+), 30% share (F50), 26% share (25-49) 40% share (4- 14), 32% share (15-24).
The show was number 1 in the trend topic list on social media and received great comments throughout the show.
The format was created by Izzet Pinto and is centered around the concept of guessing good singers just by looking at the contestants before they begin to sing. The show was hosted by Jarry and featured celebrity juries in a production which was presented in a really enjoyable way. Some of the contestants sang like divas and some like strangled cats. The revelation of the surprising voices made for a show which was full of entertaining moments.
In this original and entertaining game show, talented and untalented singers try to impress the celebrities without actually singing in the first place. Two teams, with three celebrities each, compete against each other in this new musical contest and have to use all their powers of perception to succeed. The celebrities have one goal: to distinguish the fakes from the genuine articles among the candidates. Do they have what it takes to identify the Good Singers? The two teams face each other over the course of four rounds, each funnier than the next. In order to win money for charity they must find the “Good Singers”.
Izzet Pinto, Founder & CEO of Global Agency, said: “We are very happy and proud of this success. TF1 worked very hard during the pandemic period and created a great production of our format. This French adpatation of ITRYV is seeing great demand worldwide. I really believe that it will be the next big thing!
Julien Degroote, Head of Content Development of TF1 Group, said: “We are very satisfied with the launch of Good Singers on TF1. This show has all the qualities to complete our line-up of successful entertainment shows such as Dancing with the Stars, The Masked Singer, The Voice…”
“The success on all key commercial targets shows that Good Singers is resolutely a premium co- viewing family entertainment show. The collaboration of the Global Agency teams to best adapt their format to our market and their creativity have been invaluable support.”
