This Thursday in Cannes, the companies announced a representation deal which includes the distribution and adaptation of Korean dramas in Turkey.
Global Agency and SBS Contents Hub (SBSCH), the distribution arm of Korean group SBS Media, announced a new deal during Mipcom in Cannes.
Under the new alliance, Global Agency will represent a selection of 10 titles from the SBS catalog, chosen by Turkey’s HECE Medya, in Turkey.
In addition, Izzet Pinto’s company will also be the global distributor of the Turkish remakes for the titles. HECE Medya will manage negotiations with local producers to develop the projects in Turkey.
Tiger Yeong-Seop Kim, CEO of SBSCH, said he’s “really happy to be working with Global Agency, the best distribution company in Turkey and internationally.”
During the announcement, he also thanked Global Agency for helping to take Korean content to the world.
