FilmRise, the New York City-based film & television studio and streaming network, and Bright North Studios, an Emmy-winning video production company, have announced a co-production partnership for an all-new true-crime series The Christmas Killings Hosted by Nancy Grace.

The series will feature Nancy Grace, the iconic voice of true crime, former prosecutor, and victims’ rights advocate, whose signature expertise and compelling storytelling have captivated audiences for years.

This marks the second collaboration between FilmRise and Grace, following the breakout success of Bloodline Detectives, now in its fifth season. FilmRise will have all U.S. distribution rights for the new series. The announcement was made jointly today at Natpe by Jonitha Keymoore, Head of Content for FilmRise and Shawn Efran, Founder of Bright North Studios.

Jonitha Keymoore of FilmRise shared, “Bright North Studios has a proven track record of delivering compelling, high-caliber true-crime series that resonate across streaming and broadcast platforms. We’re thrilled to collaborate with them on this exciting new project and to have Nancy Grace, a powerhouse in the true-crime genre, leading as host.”

This isn’t The 12 Days of Christmas you know. The Christmas Killings Hosted by Nancy Grace is a gripping true-crime series featuring 12 hour-long episodes where Nancy Grace guides viewers through chilling crimes that shattered the holiday season.

From Thanksgiving through the New Year, these haunting cases unfold with evocative storytelling, powerful cinematography, and intimate home videos from the victims. Each episode focuses on a single tragedy, spotlighting lives lost when the season of joy turned to sorrow.

Shawn Efran of Bright North Studios continues, “FilmRise’s extensive library of true-crime content is unparalleled, and their distribution network reaches far beyond traditional channels, connecting with a wide range of audiences. We couldn’t imagine a better partner for this project and are confident this collaboration will result in a highly successful series.”

Nancy Grace states, “I am excited to once again partner with FilmRise on this new series and look forward to a new relationship with Bright North Studios. Over the years, FilmRise has been a wonderful partner. They bring a deep understanding of the true-crime genre and a great ability to connect with audiences across various platforms. Their commitment to quality and engaging storytelling has been important to the success of Bloodline Detectives. I am confident this new project will continue delivering outstanding results.”

FilmRise is co-producing the series alongside Shawn Efran and Mary Bissel of Bright North Studios, formerly Efran Films. Jonitha Keymoore negotiated the deal from FilmRise and Shawn Efran and Azadeh de Leon for Bright North Studios.
