The story focuses on the mental health of medical professionals who are exhausted amid their work routine and personal dramas.
Under Pressure released its season 5 in Brazil, exclusively on Globoplay, Globo’s streaming platform, on June 2 and reached the 2nd place among the most watched series on the platform between June 2 and June 20. The award-winning original series, starred by Marjorie Estiano and Julio Andrade, along with a great cast, will release two episodes every Thursday on Globoplay until July 7.
As a release strategy, the first episode was also displayed on FreeTV in the country, on June 6, and was leader in that time slot, with 17 rating points, 38% participation, reaching a total of 32.8 million people (16%).
“This season continues to connect with the audience, addressing endless and universal personal dramas, especially in times of a global health crisis. It is an extremely strategic product, with a high level of attraction and viewership retention power”, says Angela Colla, Head of International Licensing at Globo.
Co-produced by Globo and Conspiração, Under Pressure is written by Lucas Paraizo with Márcio Alemão, André Sirangelo, Flavio Araujo, and Pedro Riguetti, with art direction by Andrucha Waddington, and direction by Mini Kerti, Rebeca Diniz, Julio Andrade, and Pedro Waddington. The show is produced by Isabela Bellenzani (TV Globo) and Mariana Vianna (Conspiração), with drama direction by José Luiz Villamarim.
