Recognized in Latam and the international market, the boutique production company Rhayuela Films has worked with some of the most important platforms in the international market.

“We have been making co-productions with all of Latin America, France, Spain and Canada for years. We have worked making originals with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, with whom we are going to premiere a series very soon, with HBO, which was the first production company to work with them in Colombia, with WBD, of course,” Federico Duran, showrunner and executive producer of the production company, began in a conversation with ttvnews.

“This logic of co-producing, which we initially did with film, we are now doing with series,” added the executive, explaining that beyond making originals, the idea is to approach the series market with the aim of co-producing.

“We want to bring several territories and join forces, both in the windows and the clients and the same tax incentives for each one,” he explained.

“At this moment we have several co-productions in process. One of them is already active with Onza in Spain, with a series that has a part that takes place in Spain and another in Latam, and it makes a lot of sense. We are in the process of closing the financing but we are already very advanced,” he revealed.

“We are making this model as a way to approach financing, knowing the moment of the current market, where new benchmarks are needed on how to produce. And obviously there are still originals, but it is good to have that complement that is co-production,” he concluded.
