The Distribution Manager at the Spanish platform owned by Telefónica presented its new fiction during Natpe Budapest.
By Rodrigo Ros, from Budapest, Hungary.
Apart from the original series Apagon, El hijo zurdo or La Mesías; Spanish company Movistar Plus+ also has third-party content in its catalogue, such as 24 Land, a new series for Natpe Budapest.
“We are presenting our main titles at Natpe”, commented Fabrizi Palazzo, Distribution Manager for Movistar Plus+. “Last year we premiered Apagon in San Sebastián, a dystopian drama, created by Fran Araujo and directed by five top Spanish directors”.
“We are also presenting El hijo zurdo, which won at the Canneseries, in the short form area. It is a family drama with something of a thriller. And we are presenting The Messiah that will premiere at the end of the year on the platform. It is a family drama with a very deep theme. And it is the most ambitious aesthetic work of Los Javis”, added the executive.
Likewise, the Spanish platform is presenting a series produced by RTP de Portugal, a period drama developed during the Second World War. “Our product is very premium for six to eight episodes. The feedback they are getting in Eastern European countries is very interesting”, concluded Palazzo.
