The CEO of the Turkish producer and distributor spoke to ttvnews in Los Angeles about its high-end catalog of productions, as well as its search for potential co-production opportunities.
As a multifaceted company, offering many services including production, distribution and more; Hacıyatmaz Group was present in Los Angeles for the new edition of LA Screenings 2023, to showcase its vast catalog of titles and find potential partners to produce new Turkish dramas.
“Our company, Hacıyatmaz Group, has several business arms. On the production side, we have a company called Yesil Yapim, which focuses on Turkish drama production”, Ezgi Inci, CEO of Hacıyatmaz Group, said to ttvnews at the event.
Yesil Yapim is responsible for creating world-famous Turish dramas, such as Elif, which has several season and has earned over 200 million fans around the world.
“Our most recent production, The Girl of the Green Valley, launched in Puerto Rico at the end of January of this year”, she added. Under the local title Melissa, the drama premiered on Wapa TV and reached over 40% share in its debut episode, and has continued to perform very well ever since.
“It’s a daily series with over 140 episodes for season one, with season two already in production”, she said. “It’s launched in Chile, and will launch in North America and several other countries.”
And to bolster its catalog even further, the company is actively looking for potential partners at the event in Los Angeles to develop new Turkish dramas. “We have several other drama projects in the pipeline and are looking for partners to produce these shows and bring these stories to the international market,” she concluded.
