Drawing in over 1.6 million total viewers, the series’ finale made Telemundo the highest-rated Hispanic network in the US during its 9:00pm timeslot among adults 18-49 and 18-34.
The finale of Telemundo’s hit franchise series El Final del Paraíso ranked as the number 1 Spanish-language primetime program last night among adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and total viewers, according to Nielsen.
Starring Carmen Villalobos, Fabián Ríos, Catherine Siachoque, Gregorio Pernía and Kimberly Reyes, the finale of the action-packed drama series averaged 752,000 adults 18-49, 355,000 adults 18-34, and over 1.6 million in total viewers, outperforming Univision’s Rosa de Guadalupe among all key demos.
Bolstered by the series finale, Telemundo was the number 1 Spanish-language network in prime time last night among adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. It also outperformed FOX and CW for the night among adults 18-49 and ranked as the numer 2 broadcast network regardless of language among adults 18-34 behind NBC.
During the series’ full run, Telemundo was the number 1 Spanish-language television network at 9pm among adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. On average, delayed viewing through seven days lifted the series’ delivery among adults 18-49 by +12%.
El Final del Paraiso was also the #1 most social drama series, regardless of language, according to Nielsen Social.
A cliff-hanger story produced by FoxTelecolombia for Telemundo Global Studios, El Final del Paraíso, a continuation of Sin Senos Si Hay Paraíso, the hit series that aired for four seasons and became a social media phenomenon, was filmed in Colombia and Las Vegas.
Packed with action and drama, the series kicked off with Catalina Santana (Villalobos) unknowingly working hand-in-hand with her worst enemy, “La Diabla” (Reyes), who infiltrated the DEA with a new identity to bring about Catalina’s destruction and finally put an end to the rivalry that catapulted this story more than 10 years ago.
