The series (16 × 30′) was Ukraine’s best scripted show last year in terms of ratings, achieving historic audiences for channel 1+1 and a fervent local fan base.
It tells the story of friendship between Merkulov and Liza. He is a depressed older man, who used to be a movie star but is already tired of life. So he decides to go out for one last big night out to spend all the money he has left.
She is a gold digger who believes she has finally found her “sugar daddy” by watching him spend wildly at the disco.
The next morning she realizes the reality: Merkulov is broke. Ironically, they decide to live together to share expenses and unexpectedly start helping each other improve.
