Barbora Suster, Director of Sales for Latin America at Eccho Rights, confirmed to ttvnews that Golden Boy, the Turkish drama produced by OGM Pictures, has already been sold to twelve countries in Latin America (including the US Hispanic), becoming the most successful content of the distributor in recent years.
Golden Boy has been acquired by Mega from Chile and Atresmedia from Spain, it will also be seen in US Hispanic and Paraguay on Telefuturo, in Mexico by Imagen and in Panama by Telemetro and RPC.
Golden Boy, which has been renewed for a new season, has already been sold to more than 40 territories around the world.
The title also achieved a number of groundbreaking international sales, including becoming the first Turkish drama to air on broadcast TV in the MENA region since the total ban on Turkish productions in 2018. Golden Boy also became the first Turkish drama in Finland (MTV Oy/C More), and also the first title of its kind to be licensed by a commercial broadcaster in Sweden (TV4).
Golden Boy, produced by OGM Pictures for Star TV, is a classic family drama that tells the story of two sisters, Seyran and Suna, whose paths cross with the golden boy Ferit. The lives of the two sisters change forever when Ferit decides to marry Seyran instead of Suna. Seyran will be the new girlfriend of a family full of betrayals, lies and secrets, while Suna will begin to make revenge plans to recover her stolen future. The series stars Afra Saraoğlu, Mert Ramazan Demir and Çetin Tekindor.
