International distributor Eccho Rights announced the signing of a series of deals to bring the Turkish drama My Home My Destiny to new territories. The hit series will air with Passions in the US, Qazakstan TV in Kazakhstan, and Adom TV in Ghana, bringing the total number of countries that have acquired the series to more than 90 worldwide.
Produced by GMO Pictures, My Home My Destiny broke ratings records on Turkey’s TV8 when it first aired in 2020 and quickly garnered a huge following in both the domestic and international markets.
Barbora Suster, Head of Latin America & Iberia at Eccho Rights, noted that My Home My Destiny is a modern Turkish classic drama with an all-star cast and a powerful love story at its core. “Zeynep’s journey, which explores themes of belonging, identity, and home, appeals to and resonates with audiences worldwide,” he said.
Born into a poor family with few opportunities, Zeynep’s fortunes change when the family that employs her mother as a cleaning lady offers to adopt her. Her parents accept in the hope of giving their daughter a better life. She will learn, be loved, and be surrounded by beautiful things, but she will always carry a feeling of not belonging with her.
Poor, innocent Zeynep becomes an intelligent, educated, and beautiful young woman who is betrothed in marriage to a dreamy man of high society. However, this fairy tale will come to a shocking end when her biological mother appears, who intends to regain control of her daughter’s life and return her to the home where she was born.
