International distributor Eccho Rights announced that it will bring Budapest Budapest Those About to Die, an epic period drama directed by Hollywood legend Roland Emmerich (Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow), is a Peacock original production, the company’s biggest budget production to date.
Eccho Rights is handling first-window sales throughout Central and Eastern Europe and second-window sales in several Western European territories.

Those About to Die was created by Robert Rodat (Saving Private Ryan), who wrote five episodes. Emmerich directs five episodes, and BAFTA winner Marco Kreuzpaintner (The Lazarus Project) also directs five.
Along with Sir Anthony Hopkins, the series stars Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones), Tom Hughes (The Englishmen), Sara Martins (Death in Paradise), Jojo Macari (Sex Education), Moe Hashim (Ted Lasso) and Dimitri Leonidas (Riviera).
Those About to Die (10 x 60′) takes us to Rome in 79 AD. Heirs to the empire Titus (Hughes) and Domitian (Macari) vie for the throne soon to be vacated by their aging father Vespasian (Hopkins). As tensions mount, the fate of all hinges on the intense racing and deadly games at the Circus Maximus and the Flavian Amphitheater, where the scheming and corrupt bookmaker Tenax (Rheon) exerts his influence over the future of Rome.
