The Israeli company will distribute Corte y confección, the daily reality show created by Marcelo Tinelli’s producer.
Dori Media has announced the signing of an agreement with Laflia, TV producer and distributor created in 2018 by Marcelo Tinelli, to distribute the daily reality show Corte y confección.
The program seeks the best talent among self-taught, amateurs, students and career professionals related to fashion design.
The first season was broadcast from January to June 2019 on Canal 13 in Argentina, reaching a 45% share and 9.0 rating. Season 2 has already launched in the afternoon on a daily basis, which substantially increased the network’s afternoon ratings.
“We are delighted to see the resounding success of both seasons of Corte y confección in Argentina,” said Nadav Palti, CEO & president of Dori Media Group, adding that the show “has great potential to travel around the region and the world” .
“The partnership with Laflia makes a great contribution to our efforts to make the show even more popular,” he added.
Marcelo Tinelli, one of the most famous hosts in Argentina and owner of Laflia, said: “I am always very complimentary with the level of Argentine television, because I know firsthand about the capacity and commitment of professionals that perform there.”
“Corte y confección is a show that is full of sensibility and art; it transmits a humanity that brings it very close to the public and also removes that veil of frivolity that many people endorse in fashion, to show the vocation that so many men and women feel for this profession.”
In Corte y confección, contestants compete to create the best clothes and are conditioned on time, materials and theme. Their designs are evaluated for quality and uniqueness, but also for their ability to adapt to stressful tasks, and one or more designers are eliminated every week.
