Dori Media Group hesitated until the last minute whether to participate in Mipcom Cannes 2023, admits Nadav Palti, CEO and president of the company.
Due to the events that recently occurred in the Middle East, and are still developing, Palti shared with ttvnews that it was not an easy decision for the Israeli distributor to attend Cannes to be part of Mipcom 2023. The CEO assured that what ultimately prevailed was to send a message, with the action of traveling and participating in the event like they do every year, about the resilience and strength of spirit of the Israeli people.
In terms of content, few dramas feel as tragically relevant as Amia, the series filmed in Uruguay and inspired by the terrorist attacks that occurred in Argentina in 1992 and 1994.
Along with that title also comes the action drama Indal, a series that follows the kidnapping of a police officer by a group of Ethiopian Israelis.
Hacerri Media is also behind the remake of the global hit and international Emmy-nominated romantic comedy Lalola, which is currently in production in Mexico for ViX and Hammam, an enigmatic modern journey set in Israel inspired by the story of the biblical kingdom of Saul and David and set in an abandoned military base.
Other series that Dori Media will present include the drama 15 a la Hora (new remake of the successful series Salario Mínimo), produced by Paramount that follows three Latina women in Los Angeles who decide to take charge of their destiny and open their own cleaning company and the erotic psychological thriller Losing Alice.
On the unscripted side, the studio will bring the international hit format Power Couple and the globally popular studio game show The Best of All. And the studio will also sell additional windows to the award-winning global hit Shitsel and the comedy-drama Nehama, a hilarious series about a father of five going through a mid-life crisis.
