Repeating its leadership from several Latin American countries, the original Disney+ series ranked first in Parrot Analytics’ ranking of most demanded digital series in Paraguay, where Narcos and Money Heist stand out as the only Hispanic titles.
Slowly but surely, Disney+ continues to gain ground in the OTT world in Latin America, thanks to its original series from major franchises, such as Star Wars or the MCU. Proof of this is the success of WandaVision, its new original Marvel series, which is already a favorite among audiences in the region.
And Paraguay is no exception, where the series was crowned first in Parrot Analytics’ ranking of the most demanded digital series in the week of February 15, with 17.6 times more demand than the average series.
In addition, The Mandalorian, the Star Wars series and the other great Disney+ original, made its way to seventh place with 2.9 times more demand.
The podium, however, is completed by Netflix, with its series Cobra Kai (15.3x) in second place and Stranger Things (5.1x) in third.
Colombian production Narcos, also from Netflix, follows them in fourth place with 4.9 times more demand and stands out as one of only two Hispanic series on the list, along with the Spain’s Money Heist in last place with 1.8 times more demand.
Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy is ranked fifth with 3.9 times more demand, while the rest of the ranking is completed by non-Netflix series: The Boys from Amazon Prime Video (sixth place, 3x), Hulu’s The Act (8th, 2.9x) and HBO Max’s Titans (9th, 2.1x).
WandaVision also managed to find a spot in the podium of the general ranking of the most demanded series in the country, where it was placed in second place. Children’s content, however, dominated the rest of the podium, with Peppa Pig in first place (17.8x) and PAW Patrol in third (17.4x).
Animated series, and productions for kids and teens, continued down the list in fifth place with The Simpsons (15.1x), El payaso Plim Plim in sixth (14.4x), Naruto in seventh (14.1x), Masha and the Bear in eighth (14.1x) and Attack on Titan in tenth (13.4x).
The general list of most demanded series in Paraguay is completed by Cobra Kai in fourth place and Riverdale (13.9x) in ninth.
