Two of the platform’s recent premieres made their way into the podium of the most demanded series in the country, according to Parrot Analytics, where Mexican and local productions also stand out.

Crowned as the most watched premiere for an original series based on the Marvel universe on Disney+, Loki also conquered viewers in Ecuador, where it stands at the top of Parrot Analytics’ ranking of the most demanded digital series.

In the week of June 7 to 13, the series registered 6.74 times more demand than the average series, leading the digital podium, where Netflix’s Stranger Things ranked second (6.39x) and WandaVision, also from Disney+, took third place with 5.38 times more demand.

Disney+ landed another appearance on the digital list, with The Mandalorian in ninth place (3.33x), while HBO Max took sixth place thanks to Titans (4.53x).

The rest of the digital ranking is dominated by Netflix, with Lucifer (5.01x) in fourth place, 13 Reasons Why (4.86x) in fifth, The Umbrella Academy (4.11x) in seventh, Cobra Kai (3.35x) in eighth and Anne with an E in last (2.87x).

Meanwhile, the general ranking of most demanded series in Ecuador repeats the two major trends found in the rest of the Latin American countries: Hispanic content and children’s content.

Regarding Hispanic content, Ecuadorian production Enchufe.tv stands out in second place with 12.72 times more demand than the average series; Mexican series La Rosa de Guadalupe (11.76x) and Como dice el dicho (8.53x) in fourth and tenth place, respectively; and Argentina’s El Payaso Plim Plim, which combines both trends, stands in fifth place with 11.3 times more demand.

Children’s content, in fact, leads the general ranking, with SpongeBob in first place (13.7x) and PAW Patrol in third place (11.8x), Peppa Pig in sixth (10.9x), Masha and the bear in seventh (10.1x), Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir in eighth (9.7x) and My Hero Academia completing the list in ninth place (9.63x).
