The Mandalorian from Disney+ leads Parrot Analytics’ ranking of most demanded digital series in the country, where the podium is completed by Amazon Prime Video and HBO Max, leaving Netflix relegated to fourth place. In addition, classic and children’s content dominate the general ranking.
Used to dominating the popularity rankings of almost all Latin American countries, Netflix did not have the same luck in Chile, where in the week from October 26 to November 1, Disney+ was the owner of the most demanded series.
The Star Wars series, The Mandalorian, ranked in the first place both in Parrot Analytics’ digital and general rankings of most demanded series in the country, with 31.2 times more demand than the average series.
And not only that, but also in the digital ranking, Netflix does not appear in any of the first three positions, with The Boys by Amazon Prime Video in second place (21.9x) and Titans by HBO Max in third (13.1x).
In contrast, Netflix dominates almost all other positions in the digital ranking, with Stranger Things in fourth place (12.6x), Cobra Kai in fifth (8.9x), Anne with an E in sixth (8.7x), The Umbrella Academy in seventh (8.0x), Dark in eighth (7.3x) and Narcos, which is also the only Latin series on the list, in tenth with 6 times more demand.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars, also from Disney+, took ninth place with 6.4 times more demand than the average series.
The Mandalorian and The Boys lead the first two positions in the general ranking of most demanded series in Chile, where the podium is closed by The Simpsons with 20.8 times more demand.
Long-lived series such as The Simpsons are a trend in this ranking, with Grey’s Anatomy in fourth place, also with 20.8 times more demand, and The Walking Dead in fifth with 16.9.
The other big trend is animated or children’s content, which dominate the remaining five positions: My Hero Academia (sixth, 16.8x), Naruto (seventh, 16.8), Paw Patrol (eighth, 16.7x), Steven Universe (16x) and Attack on Titan (10th, 15.2x).
