Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends (premieres August 7): Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends tells the story of Peter Parker, Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy, who together form Team Spidey and embark on heroic adventures to protect their community. Geared towards preschoolers and their families, the series models the importance of teamwork and helping others and highlights themes of friendship, cooperation and problem-solving.
Mickey Mouse Funhouse (Premieres August 22): Mickey Mouse Funhouse is a whimsical animated series introducing preschoolers’ first pal, Mickey Mouse, and his friends — Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy and Pluto — to Funny, an enchanted talking playhouse, who takes the Sensational Six on adventures of all types to anywhere their imagination will lead them. Each episode features two 11-minute stories separated by a midway dance break.
Gigantosaurus (new season, September 4): Viewers are invited to the tea party of the season this Fall with the Season 3 debut of Fancy Nancy.
Spin (August 13): Spin follows Rhea, a relatable Indian American teen who discovers her passion for creating DJ mixes that blend the rich textures of her South Asian culture and the world around her. Her life revolves around her eclectic group of friends, Molly, Watson and Ginger; her after-school coding club; her family’s Indian restaurant; and her tight-knit, multigenerational family, which includes her father, Arvind, younger brother Rohan and her grandmother, Asha. Everything changes when she falls for aspiring DJ Max, and her long-lost fervour for music is re-ignited. Rhea discovers that she has a natural gift for creating beats and producing music but must find the courage to follow her true inner talent.
Descendants: The Royal Wedding (August 13): An animated special that invites viewers to Auradon’s epic social event—Mal and King Ben’s wedding.
DCOM & Dessert (September 4): A low-pressure cooking feature spread interstitially across the breaks of a classic Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM). Hosts Ariel Martin and Chandler Kinney will discuss the movie and try their hand at baking a thematically appropriate recipe.
Disney’s Magic Bake-Off (Premieres August 13): Disney Channel and modern media company Tastemade team up to present Disney’s Magic Bake-Off, a one-hour unscripted competitive series for kids 6-14 combining the wonder of baking with the ingenuity of young pastry chefs. Multitalented stars Dara Reneé and Issac Ryan Brown co-host this series where imagination rules and teamwork triumphs as three teams of two race against the clock to create the most extraordinary cakes inspired by the magic of Disney. Co-hosts Reneé and Brown with Disneyland Resort pastry chef Graciela Gomez, who serves as baking judge, guide the kid bakers through fun challenges and unexpected twists, all designed to elevate the contestants’ baking abilities, techniques and creativity to new culinary heights. Each episode will declare a winning team to be named Disney Baking Champion. The winning recipe will become a featured Tastemade video available on Disney Channel and Tastemade social media platforms.
The Ghost and Molly McGee (October): An animated buddy comedy that follows tween optimist Molly McGee (voiced by Ashly Burch), who lives to make the world a better place, and grumpy ghost Scratch (voiced by Dana Snyder), whose job is to spread misery. When one of Scratch’s curses backfires, he finds himself forever bound to Molly. Emmy® Award-winning duo Bill Motz and Bob Roth (LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures) are the creators and serve as executive producers, and Emmy® Award-winner Steve Loter (Kim Possible) serves as executive producer. The Ghost and Molly McGee is a production of Disney Television Animation.
Under Wraps (October): Under Wraps follows three 12-year-old friends, Gilbert, Marshall and Amy, as they happen upon and awaken a mummy, which they affectionately name Harold, and must rush to return him to his resting place before midnight on Halloween. Along the way, the team narrowly escapes a nefarious group of criminals intent on selling the mummy to the highest bidder. When Harold is inevitably captured, Marshall, Gilbert and Amy must band together to stand up to the criminals, face their fears and rescue their new — but rather “ancient” — friend.
