Driven by Directv and Non Stop Studios, in partnership with Telefe, América TV, Ecuavisa, TVN, Azteca Estudios, RCN, Telefuturo, Canal 10, Unitel, Chilevisión, and SKY, ALATV was created with the mission of becoming the most important ecosystem for the production, co-production, distribution, and marketing of content in the region for the global market.

As part of the latest edition of Mipcom, the launch of ALATV (ALATV.la) was announced, a strategic space for cooperation between key players in Latin America.

Led by DIRECTV and Non Stop Studios, in association with Telefe (Argentina), América TV (Peru), Ecuavisa (Ecuador), TVN (Panama), Azteca Estudios (TV Azteca, Mexico), RCN (Colombia), Telefuturo (Paraguay), Canal 10 (Uruguay), Unitel (Bolivia), Chilevisión (Chile), and SKY (Brazil), ALATV was founded with the mission of becoming the most important ecosystem for the production, co-production, distribution, and marketing of content in the region for the global market.

This alliance, considered a historic milestone for the Ibero-American audiovisual industry, seeks to enhance collaboration between channels, VOD platforms, and producers, generate operational efficiencies, and offer a flexible platform where each member can take advantage of opportunities aligned with their strategies and capabilities.

In addition to promoting co-production and distribution, the agreement includes the creation of regional production hubs, talent exchange, innovation in narratives, management of incentives by country, the use of social media, and the attraction of brands that will significantly reduce the cost per hour produced.

An Executive Committee was formed with representation from all the founding partners, responsible for strategic management and coordination.

With this step, the signatories strengthen their leadership in their local markets while also committing to a long-term regional vision, which foresees the future incorporation of new members from the Hispanic market in the United States, Spain, Brazil, and Portugal.

“In a constantly changing industry, this type of alliance opens a new path and shows that the union of channels can transform the way we produce and distribute content, adapting to an increasingly digital, competitive, and globalized ecosystem,” the alliance representatives agreed.
