Strategic leadership hire strengthens Digitoonz’s global expansion.
Digitoonz Media & Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., a leading global animation studio headquartered in India with offices across the US and Europe, is proud to announce the appointment of Vrinda Sood as Vice President.
In her new leadership role, Sood will drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, expanding the studio’s client base, and forging high-impact strategic partnerships.
Her appointment is an important step in Digitoonz’s long-term strategy to enhance its commercial reach and reinforce its position as a key player in animation, VFX, and gaming. She will also play a central role in developing innovative business verticals and fostering cross-sector creative collaborations.
Sood has amassed a unique expertise on both the creative and business sides of the animation industry, bringing to Digitoonz over a decade of multifaceted experience across advertising, branded content, OTT animation shows, TV series, and feature films, spanning both animation and VFX.
Throughout her career, she has built a proven track record of scaling businesses, forging strategic partnerships, and integrating emerging technologies. Her experience navigating international markets and pioneering innovation in production pipelines, including the use of AI and Unreal Engine technologies, positions her perfectly to spearhead Digitoonz’s next phase of expansion.
Sood takes on this new role at Digitoonz while continuing to serve as CEO of Citrus Ink Studios, the company she founded and transformed from a boutique studio into a globally recognized creative powerhouse, leading successful collaborations with major brands and production companies worldwide, such as Coca-Cola, Hector Beverages (known for Paperboat), Thums Up with Ogilvy & Mather, Arctic Fox, Havells Home Appliances with Lowe Lintas, Upstox, and Hero Xtreme, among others.
In December 2024, Citrus Ink and Digitoonz entered into a strategic partnership to launch DGX, a joint venture dedicated to next-generation VFX, animation, and gaming services, built on a foundation of innovation and cutting-edge technology.
A visionary leader with a sharp creative eye, Sood has helmed multiple award-winning projects throughout her career. Her short film The Social Chameleon garnered international acclaim, with 57 official festival selections, including 17 Academy Award-qualifying events.
