The Commercial Director of the production company spoke with ttvnews about his experience in his first visit to Mipcom, which they are attending with ICEX after the recent opening of their Spanish headquarters, to present their services to the international market.

A company with more than 25 years of experience in the market, with headquarters in Mexico, Colombia, Los Angeles and, more recently, Spain, from which they arrived at their first Mipcom to further extend their presence in the global market.
“For us, it is the first time that we attend Mipcom in Cannes. We find it very interesting,” began Deme Naranjo, Commercial Director of EFD Studios, in a conversation with ttvnews.
“We just opened operations in Spain on May 1, with more than 40 productions that we have provided services to so far. Being able to make our services known in the European part of such an important market is very interesting,” he added.
EFD is a Mexican company with 25 years of experience in the sector, whose new headquarters in Spain aims to bring its services closer to the other headquarters and “unite the Ibero-American universe” of the group.
“Georgina Terán, who lives in Madrid, created EFD in Spain to provide services to our headquarters in Colombia, Mexico and Los Angeles. A bit because of the current audiovisual situation we are experiencing, and because of the ever-increasing demand from foreign clients, we decided to open in Spain to be able to unite this Ibero-American universe,” explained the executive.
“Mexico, for example, has between 35 and 50 shoots a day. Being able to offer our Latin American clients a very complete service in Spain becomes a priority for us. Added to that is the fact that our clients in the US and Mexico are demanding that we also provide services in Spain with the same quality and diligence that we do in Mexico. And that is why we decided to start operating in Spain,” he added.
“The Latin American market is very interesting because the company naturally travels between the three offices. And in parallel, we are very interested in starting to create those bridges between the Los Angeles office and Spain so that in some way the product or project travels from one side to the other. It is there that I believe ICEX is doing a very good job, in terms of contacts, services, information and support,” he concluded.
