The animated series has achieved number 1 ratings in China and will air in Western territories in 2024.
The popular children’s animated series Adventurer Carly will soon air in all Western territories, including Europe, North, Central, South America, Sub-Saharan Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. This is thanks to the agreement signed between DeAPlaneta Entertainment and Fantawild Animation Inc., China’s most influential animation company. Fantawild Animation Inc. has created several prestigious brands, such as Boonie Bears, Boonie Cubs, and Chicken Stew. The show is scheduled to begin airing in 2024.
Last October, Adventurer Carly was the most viewed series by international buyers among 600+ children’s and family content titles during the MIP Junior market..
Carlos Biern, Director of Distribution and Content at DeAPlaneta Kids & Family, commented that Adventurer Carly is pure action and adventure. “The pacing, stories, and animation appeal to the new digital audience. It’s hard to find properties with this potential that can succeed outside Asia. Fantawild and DeAPlaneta Entertainment have in common, having turned the brands they have worked on into global hits, and we believe this first collaboration can mark a long strategic partnership between our groups.”
On Fantawild’s side, Daisy Shang, the company’s executive president, noted they were looking forward to initiating a working relationship with DeAPlaneta Entertainment. “We believe we can achieve substantial mutual growth through our studio’s extraordinary capabilities and partners’ multi-faceted nature. We look forward to realizing many projects together shortly, with our beloved Adventurer Carly being the first of many.”
The series, the first Fantawild created outside of the Boonie Bears franchise since its inception in 2011, has already been widely distributed in China. Adventurer Carly has premiered on Golden Eagle Cartoon, Jiajia Cartoon, KAKU Children, and Youman Cartoon, among other channels, reaching #1 in viewership on several occasions and achieving the highest all-day rating on many of them.
Adventurer Carly has ranked No. 1 in the children’s program broadcasting index for three consecutive weeks and No. 1 in the children’s program hit list on several occasions on streaming platforms such as Tencent Video, iQiyi, Youku, and Mango TV.
The series consists of 52 episodes of 13 minutes each and is Fantawild’s first foray into the coveted genre of action-adventure animation, creating a unique experience for children ages 6 to 11. The story follows Carly, a brave 14-year-old girl trained by her father, Zag, as a wilderness survival expert and archeology buff.
