Incredible Film presented its diverse catalog of films for young adults and adults at Mipcom, where romantic comedies and genres of interest for young audiences were abundant. Additionally, they announced progress on the production of the sequel to Amsterdamned, which is expected to release in 2025.
Danielle Raaphorst, CEO of Incredible Film, told ttvnews that they are very excited about the development of this film. “Amsterdamned is now in production. The original film was released in 1988, and the story is about a serial killer. There are a lot of chases through the canals of Amsterdam. The police officer was the protagonist of the movie, and he caught the serial killer and put him in jail. But after many years, new DNA evidence shows that he caught the wrong killer.”
The sequel to the chilling 1988 cult classic by Dick Maas, Amsterdamned, takes place three decades after the original film. The sequel returns to the famous Dutch canals, once again becoming the scene of a crime when a series of new murders occur in the city.
“So, the movie begins again with murders in the canals. It will really be a fantastic film, with speedboat chases through the canals of Amsterdam and a lot of action,” said Raaphorst.

“We have sold this to Latin America through the distributor Encripta, our film The Break Up Club. It’s a movie about a guy with a business dedicated to breaking up relationships. If you don’t dare to break up with your partner, he will do it for you. This movie was purchased during the Cannes Film Festival,” Raaphorst said.
They also launch the film Superpowers for Your Mind in international markets. “The story is about a boy who has many fears and wants to be a superhero. But his parents are very protective of him, so he always dreams about superheroes. One day, his grandmother visits him and teaches him that his superpower is his mind. So, he has to overcome his fear with his mind.”
The CEO of Incredible Film said that Superpowers for Your Mind was successfully released in the Netherlands and will now be launched in international markets.
