Satisfaction Iberia’s co-founder and CEO will lead Telefónica’s platform after spearheading the creation and consolidation of several television production companies.
Satisfaction Iberia announced it will reorganize its team following the announcement of Daniel Domenjó as Movistar Plus+’s new CEO.
Known for his entrepreneurial outlook, Domenjó has 25 years of audiovisual industry experience and has led the creation and expansion of several sector companies, including two of the fastest growing production houses in Spain in recent years.
Until now, Domenjó has been the CEO and co-founder of Satisfaction Iberia, a scripted and unscripted content production company created in partnership with leading French television group, Satisfaction Group. In just under a year, the production company has already produced large prime time formats in Spain and Portugal for TVE and RTP such as La Conexión or The Floor, among others that are currently in pre-production.
Previously, Domenjó played a leading role as Executive Director at Mediacrest Entertainment for five years, launching and consolidating the company with numerous productions such as El Cazador’ (The Chase) and Las Noches de los Cazadores (Beat the Chasers) (TVE), season one of The Floor (A3), Crónicas del Zoo (Discovery, ApuntTV), Mapi (TVE), fictional content such as Asuntos Internos (TVE), or documentaries including The Sleeper (in cinemas soon) or Inside Guggenheim (Movistar Plus+ and EiTB), among others.
Throughout his career, Domenjó has produced and worked for leading companies in Spain and Portugal and has extensive experience in forging international partnerships, co-productions and co-developments with global players such as Talpa, Paramount or Britains ITV, among others. Furthermore, he has extensive experience when it comes to global markets and events such as the Berlinale, MipTV, Natpe, MipCancún, London Content, or Content Americas.
Movistar Plus+’s new CEO graduated in Journalism and German Language Studies as well as earning a Postgraduate Degree in Editorial Practices and an Executive Education Program from Harvard Business School (USA). Domenjó has also advised major multinational companies such as Danone, Agbar (Suez Group) or the pharmaceutical company Novartis in areas relating to strategy and communication.
During his career as a journalist and presenter, Domenjó has accumulated over 2,500 hours of television, most of them on live broadcasts, spanning established news programs, television magazines, and entertainment formats, such as El Debate de la 2 (TVE), Teleobjetivo (TVE), La Lista (TVE), Está Pasando (Tele5), El Debate de Supervivientes (Tele5), La Caja Fuerte (Telemadrid), among many others.
