Spanish platform Filmin announced that next Tuesday, March 15, it will premiere the British series Close to Me exclusively in Spain.
This is the first co-production between the Mexican production company Dopamine and the British company NENT Studios UK.
The 6-episode, 45-minute psychological thriller adapts Amanda Reynolds’ best-seller of the same name and stars Danish actress Connie Nielsen and Christopher Eccleston.
The adaptation to series was in charge of the screenwriter Angela Pell. Michael Samuels is directing and Gina Carter is executive producing along with Robert Taylor and Ed Clarke of TDP, Dave Clarke of NENT Studios UK, as well as Connie Nielsen.
Close to Me premiered in 2021 on Channel 4 in the UK and on Viaplay in the Nordics. International distribution is handled by NENT.
SYNOPSIS
After a serious accident, Jo Harding (Connie Nielsen) loses her memory and discovers that she has forgotten everything that has happened in the last year. With a growing sense of unease and mistrust towards her husband (Christopher Eccleston), her family and friends, the protagonist must play detective and piece together what really happened the night of the accident. It seems that everyone has something to hide from him.
