The international distributor announced a raft of sales for its scripted content, including the sale of the Israeli thriller to Filmin in Spain.

Cineflix Rights has announced multiple deals for international and English-language dramas from its growing scripted slate.

In Ibero-America, Spanish platform Filmin acquired the multi-award-winning Israeli police corruption thriller Manayek (Seasons 1 and 2, 20×45’, Yoav Gross Productions for Kan 11 Network, Israel), which was also picked up by MX Player in India.

MX Player has also bought the supernatural cult sensation Wynonna Earp (Seasons 1-4, 49×60’, IDW Entertainment LLC, Cineflix Studios, and SEVEN24 Films for Syfy US and CTV Sci-Fi Channel, Canada).

Hot (Israel) has bought darkly humorous crime caper Happily Married (Seasons 1 and 2, 20×45’, Productions Casablanca for Radio-Canada and Tou.tv-Extra) which was a Berlinale Series 2020 Official Selection. Hot has also acquired Icelandic political drama The Minister (8×60’, Sagafilm for RUV, Iceland; NRK, Norway; SVT, Sweden; YLE, Finland; and DR, Denmark).

Talpa Network (Netherlands), Sky Italia, and Rai (Italy) have acquired the latest season of the highly rated global hit Coroner (Season 4, 12×60’, Muse Entertainment, Back Alley Films, and Cineflix Studios for CBC, Canada). The series already airs in more than 150 territories on networks and platforms including The CW Network (US), Sky Witness (UK), Globo (Brazil), and NBCUniversal International Networks.

Acorn TV (India), Sky Italia, and BritBox (Africa) have bought Whitstable Pearl (Seasons 1 and 2, 12×45’, Buccaneer Media for AMC Networks’ Acorn TV, US and UK), the cozy crime series set in the picturesque English seaside town.

TG4 (Ireland) has acquired gripping French crime drama Rebecca (8×60’, Elephant for TF1, France) which received critical acclaim as an Official Selection at Séries Mania 2021. STV (Scotland) has bought the UK and Eire rights to Secrets and Lies (6×60’, Hoodlum, Screen Australia, and Screen Queensland for Network Ten, Australia), the taut psychological thriller set in suburban Australia.

The deals with MX Player and Acorn TV were closed by Tom Misselbrook, SVP, Scripted Sales and Development; the deals with Filmin, Sky Italia, and Rai were closed by Sabrina Ayala, SVP, Sales, France, Italy, Iberia and Latin America; the deals with Hot and BritBox Africa were closed by Lucy Rawson, VP, Sales, Africa, CEE, Middle East, and Southern Mediterranean; the deals with TG4 and STV were closed by Sandra Piha, SVP, Sales, Pan-Regional, UK, Eire, and Scandinavia; and the deal with Talpa Networks was closed by Chris Bluett, SVP, Sales, Asia Pacific and Benelux.
