Originally titled Anne, Mother is a MedYapım and MF Yapım co-production starring Cansu Dere, the lead in hit Ottoman productions such as Sila and Ezel.
The series, named Turkey’s most exported in 2019, conquered audiences in dozens of countries, including several in Latin America and Spain.
It tells the story of Zeynep (Dere), a young substitute teacher who, upon learning that one of her students, Melek (Beren Gökyıldız, only six years old), is suffering from abuse by her parents, makes the impulsive decision to kidnap her. and start a new life with the girl, becoming her “surrogate mother” and living various adventures together.
