The evolution of the industry and the need to optimize budgets lead companies to connect and generate strategic alliances to co-produce and generate joint promotion strategies for their different windows.
This is what César Sabroso, VP of Marketing, Affiliates, and Corporate Communications of A+E Networks Latam, told ttvnews during the first day of Natpe in Miami. “We are privileged to see the evolution of the industry that has changed, consumer habits have changed, technology has changed,” he said.
According to Sabroso, content generators must adapt to stay in the industry and get the best out of it. “The most marked difference now is that before, we all had big budgets and could do projects individually, but for many years, I have thought that collaborations, strategic alliances, and co-productions are necessary, especially when we all have different windows,” said the executive.
Sabroso assured that “today, the most important thing is to connect and reconnect, seek strategic alliances at all levels, and make co-productions with co-promotion strategies”.
“We, unlike other companies, since 2004, have been more discreet, but we have always developed an obvious PR strategy, co-promotion with other companies, and we always think in cost-benefit to see how we can benefit multiple areas and markets. In virtual press events that we created in the pandemic, it allowed us to approach the cable operator, the advertiser, and the press, it gave us that touch of reality. It was something that went very well,” said Sabroso.
According to the A+E Networks Latam executive, the closer the emotional connection with the audience, the better the results for content producers. “That allows us to know if the experience we are giving them is the experience they want and from there adjust the messages we are giving,” he concluded.
