The executive, who had been working as VP of Development and Production for Gato Grande, is joining the OTT platform as Director of Original Series in Latin America.
Netflix continues to grow its team in Latin America, with the appointment of Colombian executive Carolina Leconte as Director of Original Series for the region.
The news was confirmed by Netflix to ttvnews.
Leconte had been serving as VP of Development and Production for Gato Grande, a production house from which she has been working with Netflix in the first two seasons of Luis Miguel’s series.
As detailed, Leconte will report to Francisco Ramos, Netflix’s VP of Original Content for the region.
Prior to her arrival on Netflix and her time at Gato Grande, Leconte also worked at Caracol TV and Sony Pictures Television.
