Caracol Televisión already had reasons to celebrate during its powerful participation in Content Americas 2025, even before receiving two awards on Tuesday night during the Rose D’Or Latinos ceremony, when it celebrated in the Best Telenovela category, for Devuélveme la vida and in Best Competition Reality, where it triumphed with Desafío XX Años, both of its own productions.
“We are very motivated that our productions are recognized as a seal of excellence by the voices of the international market,” said Lisette Osorio, VP of International Business at Caracol Televisión. “Our commitment to innovation and continuing to captivate global audiences is our driving force; we have great projects to share with the industry in this new year.”
The awards were accepted by Paula Bustamante, director of Strategic Programming at Caracol, who, in a previous conversation with ttvnews, shared an update on the company’s 2025 news.
“Nuevo rico, nuevo pobre is the remake of the comedy from 20 years ago, but in today’s world, with a technology company, with a cast made up of Variel Sánchez, Lina Tejeiro and Juan Guilera. It has drama, suspense and revenge,” she added.
In terms of documentaries, Caracol is presenting Linda va más allá de la cancha and invites us to learn the story of a young soccer idol and a true icon for the LGBTIQ community. Not only has she faced and defeated cancer, but she has also fought for equality, diversity and against discrimination. At 19 years old, she shows us her dreams, her insecurities and her constant struggle to be true to herself. This documentary is for everyone: soccer lovers, defenders of equality and those looking for authentic and inspiring stories,” said Karen Juliao, the director of International Marketing for Caracol Television.
“We also have Belleza maldita. This is another topic of global interest and great relevance… We are going to delve, with a scientific approach, into the consequences that filler substances generate in the human body. We will address various areas of medicine, from reconstructive plastic surgery to cardiology and psychology, among others. With a modern and cinematic language, we accompany Dr. Carlos Alberto Ríos, a plastic reconstructive surgeon, and a multidisciplinary group of specialists in their fight and research against this problem”.
THE AUDIENCE GOES CRAZY WITH THE QUEEN OF FLOW
The anticipated return of The Queen of Flow, whose third season is currently being filmed, and which has Carlos Torres reprising the role of Charlie Flow, has generated huge waves on social media, something that was evident during filming in the Canary Islands.
A filming day on the islands, during which a call was made to the public for a concert that will be part of the series, generated an impact that far exceeded the expectations of the production: “We had a massive attendance at the concert,” said Juliao. This was amplified on social media: “With the musical scenes of the series we had more than ten million organic views and more than a million interactions.”
“This is also being leveraged with the soundtrack, which is now available for download on all music platforms,” added the executive.
The third season of The Queen of Flow, which will feature Torres and a new cast, does not yet have a release date.
