The trilateral meeting will lay the foundation for new international alliances and mark the first milestone in the lead-up to Conecta Fiction & Entertainment 2025 in Cuenca, Spain.
On March 24, in Lille (France), and within the framework of Series Mania -one of the most influential festivals and professional forums for the audiovisual industry in Europe- an exclusive, high-level strategic meeting will take place, behind closed doors and by invitation only. This gathering will bring together key institutional and industry representatives from France, Canada, and Spain, marking a pivotal first step toward Conecta Fiction & Entertainment 2025, which will be held in Cuenca (Spain) this coming June.
The meeting, hosted under the prestigious Series Mania Pro umbrella, will serve as a prelude to the official Focus Countries program of Conecta Fiction & Entertainment 2025, which this year spotlights France and Canada. It will provide a unique platform for institutional dialogue and business cooperation, aiming to foster new alliances in coproduction and to boost the international circulation of content.
Insights and connections forged in Lille will shape a second, public-facing trilateral meeting scheduled during the main event in Cuenca, from June 16–19.
A prominent institutional delegation from the three countries will participate. France will be represented by officials from the Centre national du cinéma (CNC), USPA, Le SPI and Eurocinema. The Canadian delegation will include representatives from the Canada Media Fund (CMF), SODEC, Ontario Creates, CMPA, APFC, and the Embassy of Canada in France.
As the host country of the 2025 edition, Spain will also have a strong presence in Lille, with representatives from the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Administration (via SEDIA and SETT), the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA) under the Ministry of Culture, ICEX Spain Trade and Investment, and Catalan Films. The Institut Français d’Espagne will also participate, reinforcing its role as a cultural and institutional bridge.
Beyond the institutional scope, the meeting will also bring together a curated group of top-tier industry professionals from the audiovisual ecosystems of the three countries. Confirmed participants include executives from broadcasters, platforms, distributors, and production companies with strong international portfolios.
From Canada, companies such as Lionsgate Canada, Bell Media, Incendo, Ideacom International, Attraction Distribution, and Border2Border Entertainment will be present. From France, participants will include representatives from Fédération Studios and key figures from USPA and other industry bodies. Spain will be represented by leading companies and creators associated with RTVE, Morena Films, Amazon Prime Video, Portocabo, M Content, and Asociación PATÉ, among others.
With this initiative, Conecta Fiction & Entertainment strengthens its role as a platform for connection between Europe and the Americas, building real, long-term bridges between creators, producers, institutions, and markets.
