And this week, the event has opened its calls for pitches both events, which will run until February 20.
The MIPFormats Pitch is open to all creators and producers from around the world (under the banner of a company or not) to present their new and original, non-scripted entertainment formats.
This year’s edition will be held with sponsor FOX Entertainment’s in-house unscripted studio, FOX Alternative Entertainment.
The winner will receive a US$5,000 prize to develop their concept and the opportunity to be part of FOX’s US$100m International Unscripted Format Fund.
Call for entries is now open and the submission deadline is Monday, February 20.
In 2022, MIPFormats Pitch received 67 applications from 51 companies from 27 different countries. The winner was Cheat on the Glitch, a contest by Filipino Christian G. Gamboa.
