The international distributor will be present in Miami with two new non-fiction series: Breaking Wild and Cruise Ship Killers.
From the untamed wilderness to the dark seas, Breakthrough Entertainment is showcasing two series at Natpe 2020 that will transport audiences to the heart of the action.
Breaking Wild (History Channel Canada/Corus Entertainment) is a thrilling 10×60’ action/adventure docu-series that follows a crack team of Indigenous locals, American settlers and expert horse trainers united in a mission to gather and train the wild horses in their midst.
But the team’s success is often put in jeopardy as corralling these majestic creatures is no easy task. Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Canada’s Nemiah Valley, an untouched wilderness fiercely protected by the Xeni Gwet’in First Nation, the wild horses are thriving despite the odds.
Mystery lovers will dive deep into Cruise Ship Killers, a 26×60’ true crime series from Farpoint Films that reveals the shadowy underbelly of the billion-dollar cruise ship industry. Since 2011, more than 200 cruise passengers -the majority women- have gone missing, with many presumed murdered.
Some of the killings have been officially solved with others having been covered up for nefarious reasons; many remain a mystery altogether. Cruise Ship Killers shines a light on these cases and aims to uncover the truth of what really happened at sea.
“Adrenaline-loving audiences will be thrilled to discover Breaking Wild and Cruise Ship Killers,” said Craig McGillivray, Vice President, Distribution. “From wild horses to unsolved mysteries, these programs are packed with drama to captivate viewers from start to finish.”
Breakthrough Entertainment will be at Natpe Miami from January 21 to January 23.
