With a successful career at Paramount, Netflix and HBO, renowned executive Maria Angela de Jesus joins Conspiração as associate executive producer, developing her own projects in partnership with the company, as well as collaborating on pre-existing internal projects.
Maria Angela de Jesus is one of the main audiovisual producers in Brazil, with four productions nominated for International Emmys: Anderson Spider Silva (Paramount), Escola de Quebrada (Paramount), Magnifica 70 (HBO) and PSI (HBO).
With solid experience in content development and production, she has been directing Brazilian productions for major North American actors since 2004.
At Paramount, as head of production, she developed the children’s series Marcelo, Marmelo, Martelo and the documentary Adriano, Imperador.
At Netflix, she worked on series such as Bom Dia, Verônica, Coisa Mais Linda and Reality Z, in addition to leading the internal teams of Sintonia and Irmandade, among others.
At HBO, she created a broad portfolio of premium content, such as Filhos do Carnaval, O Negócio and Alice, as well as Mandrake and Magnífica 70, both produced by Conspiração.
Her arrival coincides with a strategic moment in which Conspiração expands its business to Mexico and strengthens its commitment to internationalization, producing content in several languages and promoting co-productions that integrate Latin American narratives.
“I am delighted to join one of the most innovative production companies in the audiovisual industry. Conspiração always seeks excellence and originality in all its content and it is a privilege to be part of it. The biggest challenge is to develop local content that has an increasingly international reach. It is time to look outwards and win over wider audiences,” says Maria Angela de Jesus.
