With nominations in almost every category, Brazilian productions are among the favorites in the running for the International Emmy Kids Awards, with Globo in the lead with most noms.

Nominations for the International Emmy® Kids Awards were announced today by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences at a press conference at Mipcom.

There are 28 nominees in 7 categories, and nominations span 15 countries: Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Denmark, France, Germany, India, The Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and the United Kingdom.

And this year, one of the standouts is clearly Brazil, which scored nominations in almost every category.

Globo takes the lead with three nominations, competing in the Digital and Series categories with Young Hearts Live, and in Non Scripted Entertainment with The Voice Kids.

In addition, Jorel’s Brother by Copa Studio and Cartoon Network is competing in the Animation category, while Fox Lab Brazil’s Nosso Sangue, Nosso Corpo is competing in the Factual category.

Rounding out the nominations from Latin America, one Chilean production also made the cut: Petit, by Pakapaka, NonStop and Pájaro, competing in the Preschool category.

International Emmy® Kids Awards at Miptv presenting partners are: Ernst & Young, Miptv and TV Kids.

Winners will receive their award in Cannes, France on Tuesday March 31, 2020.
