Making the rounds in all the main industry tradeshows, Turkish drama Bitter Justice is one of the most in-demand titles in Mediahub’s catalog, and has continued to draw in buyers at the current edition of Content Americas in Miami.
“We first introduced Bitter Justice at Mipcom”, Elif Turna, Sales and Business Development Manager at Mediahub, said to ttvnews. “It’s a very international market so we collected great news”.
“Afterwards, we got the chance to present it to buyers from Latam at Mip Cancun”, she continued. “And between the two markets, we also received great feedback from our buyers. Now, here in Miami, we had the chance to show the title to buyers we couldn’t meet with in Cancun”.
Bitter Justice (Aşka Mahkum) premiered on August 16 on Bi Kanal, Turkey’s new national channel. The production, with a script focused on revenge, power, and second chances, is the second project from Globalsphere Studios, a MediaHub subsidiary, in co-production with Nöbetçi Yapım.
Creative direction was handled by Eliz Arkayın-Ungan, who recently joined the studio. The main roles include Shadi Tabarsa, Metehan Cemil Varol, Ümit Olcay, Ejder Karslıgil, Öykü Çakar, Elif Hilal Yalçın, Merve Kurç, Sefer Cambaz, Elif Sima Kurt, Fatih Doğan, Mira Sude Güneş, Alya Mira Türkeş and the legendary Yeşilçam actor Ahmet Mekin.
Aside from Bitter Justice, the executive celebrated a new premiere for Stop! Border Patrol, which is making its debut today in Chile. “There will also be new seasons made in Venice and Mexico,” she revealed. “It’s good news”.
