The licensing deal with Times Brasil, CNBC’s exclusive licensee, provides the new channel with 147 hours of lifestyle, travel, adventure, and science programming.
Big Media, a factual production and distribution company, has licensed 14 factual entertainment series to Times Brasil, a news and information pay-TV channel and a CNBC exclusive licensee, which launched in Brazil on November 17.
The licensing deal with Times Brasil, CNBC’s exclusive licensee, provides the new channel with 147 hours of lifestyle, travel, adventure, and science programming. Popular BIG Media series such as Truthseekers, Love on the Rocks, and Dropped are among the titles in the package.
“It is exciting to be a part of Times Brasil’s debut,” notes Antônio Caio Scaramuzza, Big Media Director of Sales and Development, Latam and US Hispanic. “We are confident that the channel will be a hit with viewers in the region as it is elsewhere in the world. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with the team at Times Brasil.”
“The agreement with Big Media has helped Times Brasil have a diverse and robust programming offering for viewers from the very start,” said Raquel Silva, Times Brasil Head of Programming and Content. “We were not only able to secure a substantial amount of content, but also series that are entertaining and high-quality, so it reflects what we deliver across all our media platforms.”
