At an international level, Larry Tanz will lead productions in local language in Europe and Francisco Ramos will continue to lead Latin America.
Less than two months after being named head of Global TV, and after multiple departures in recent weeks, Bela Bajaria announced a restructuring of Netflix’s global production team, with new departures and appointments.
On the one hand, Bajaria confirmed that she will lead Netflix’s original productions under a single command, both in English and in local languages.
At the international level, meanwhile, she will work with different executives who will be in charge of productions in local languages.
In Europe, Larry Tanz was appointed as head of local language originals for all MENA. In the United Kingdom, Annie Mensah remains as head of the UK series and in Latin America Francisco Ramos also remains as VP of Latin America originals and film.
In other territories, Minyoung Kim, head of Korean originals, added Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand to her duties. John Derderian will continue as VP of Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan and Monika Shergill will also continue as VP of India.
Kelly Luegenbiehl, who previously served as head of local language productions in EMEA, is now leading global franchises.
In the US, meanwhile, a head for original US series and a head for comedy are currently being sought. Additionally, the young adult and family content unit will move into the drama and comedy orbit.
Thus, Brian Wright will oversee the original series deals; Peter Friedlander will lead Spectacle / Event TV’s new division; Jinny Howe will be the head of drama development; Renate Radford is now head of drama and current programming; Andy Weil will interim lead the comedy unit; and Brandon Reigg will continue to lead the unscripted.
