The executive spoke to ttvnews at Mipcom about the catalog of successful productions they’re presenting at the event, where they’re hosting a special cocktail for Eshref Ruya and unveiling their first vertical drama for the international market.

Following a busy stay in Madrid for Iberseries & Platino Industria 2025, Turkish distributor Inter Medya arrived in Cannes for a new edition of Mipcom, ready to unveil its brand new titles and celebrate the success of its catalog of dramas.
During the first day of the event, the group welcomed friends and colleagues in a special cocktail reception for its hit drama Eshref Ruya, joined by the drama’s stars Cagatay Ulusoy and Demet Ozdemir.
“We are gathered here at a special cocktail with the actors of Eshref Ruya. We are very happy and excited”, Beatriz Cea Okan, VP and Head of Sales and Acquisitions at Inter Medya, said to ttvnews at the event.
Eshref Ruya captured local audiences with its high production values, emotional storytelling and relatable characters. In the drama, Eşref spent years searching for a girl he once loved from afar as a child – a memory so distant and idealized, he called her “Rüya,” meaning dream. In the process, he rose to power as a high-ranking member of a mafia syndicate.
Nisan, an idealistic young musician, ends up entangled in his world after performing at a wedding held in the luxury hotel Eşref runs. He falls for her, unaware that she’s not only the long-lost Rüya he’s been searching for, but also secretly working as an informant for the police. As love, betrayal, and power collide, Eşref is pulled into a deep reckoning – both with his crew and his own heart.
Another big new drama Inter Medya is also presenting in Cannes is Halef, from Most Production, “which is registering incredible audiences in Turkey”, the executive said.
Halef distinguishes itself with a powerful cast and a storyline that blends high drama with emotional depth. Starring İlhan Şen, Aybüke Pusat, and Biran Damla Yılmaz, the series draws audiences into a universe of love, passion, secrets, and revenge from its very first episode.
“And we will be screening it at Mip Cancun”, the executive revealed.
Last but certainly not least, Cea Okan highlighted the fact that at this edition of Mipcom, Inter Medya is presenting a vertical drama for the first time. “We are presenting a vertical drama for the first time”, she said. “And on the first day we’ve already gotten so much positive feedback that we decided to continue producing many more,” she concluded.
