The Sales Director of Onza Distribution comments on what’s new for the Spanish producer and distributor in terms of content licensing for the Eastern European market.

Onza Disitribution is one of the Spanish companies participating in this edition of Natpe Budapest, which is taking place from June 19 to 22 at the Intercontinental Hotel in the Hungarian capital.
The company is presenting its current line up with generalist titles.
“Something that is still very strong in the region are telenovelas. And we have a fairly premium catalog that sells very well in the region. Some very famous like Pay Back which already works in all countries. Or, for example, Forever, which is number one in Portugal”, explained Béatrice Nouh, Sales Director of Onza Distribution, to ttvnews.
Likewise, the company has a slate of new fictions such as Motel Valkirias that premiered last March on HBO Max in Spain and Portugal. Also Godless John which is another novelty. And documentaries include titles such as Young Addictions, an Onza production that will soon premiere on La Sexta in Spain. Or the Crimes series, which is the biggest true crime success in Spain and has already been sold to several countries in the region.
“At Onza we work with all types of clients. With our catalog we cover all genres and all audiences. Some content is for public television, others for private. We also have for digital platforms and we also have formats that we discuss with producers”, highlights the executive.
“People here are quite interested in Godless John, because it is a three-episode miniseries and people are looking for more and more short fiction, but, in any case, in this region what is most requested in this market are telenovelas” , she concluded.
